Aphrodite Hills 4 Rentals are based in Cambridge, England; We established this Aphrodite Hills 4 Rentals website in 2004 to promote the rental of our privately owned apartment located within the multi award winning gated 5* resort of Aphrodite Hills in Paphos, Cyprus. The apartment was purchased off-plan in November 2001 & completed for handover in May 2003. Our apartment and services are illustrated on this website which provides us a cost effective way of allowing guests to book directly via the internet and enjoy a luxuriously appointed quality apartment in a 5* resort, at lower prices than if you were booking through a travel agent, tour operator or Aphrodite Hills direct.

We have tried to make booking via our website as straight forward & simple as possible.


Q: How do I book the apartment ?
A: In 3 easy steps:

1. Check the Availability, Price Matrix & then complete either the Contact Us or Booking Form on-line. Once we receive this automated email, we confirm availability & email a detailed quote to you within 48 hours.

2. If you are happy with the quote & want to proceed you then complete the on-line Booking Form, once we have received the on-line Booking Form email, we will respond with a Booking Confirmation & details of payment & request the signed T&C's. Please note that the booking is not guaranteed until we have issued our formal Booking Confirmation.

3. If you are making your booking more than 2 months before the start of the booking date, then only a 20% deposit is required along with the signed T&C's. We will confirm when the payment has cleared & the apartment is reserved. The balance & Returnable Damage Deposit will then need to be sent to us 8 weeks before commencement of the booking. Once received, we will send you your final booking confirmation together with directions and further information regarding keys etc.

Q: I have emailed AH4R's, but why haven't I received a reply ?
A: If you don't receive a reply and you use web-based email or have "junk mail" filters, please check your bulk/spam mail folders, in case the message went there by mistake.; Failing that telephone us to get an immediate answer. We always try to respond to all enquires within 48 hrs.

Q: How is payment made ?
A: Payment can be made by cheque or by bank transfer (TT). You can also use the secure payment of paypal for Credit/Debit cards, however please note that there will be a surcharge of 3.4% on all card payments.

Q: Are the rates per person or for the complete apartment ?
A: Our rates are for the entire apartment on a weekly basis.

Q: What is the difference between the 2 & 3 bedroom apartment ?
A: They are the same apartment with 1 bedroom (Bedroom 3) locked off.

Q: Are the prices in Sterling (£ GBP) or Euro (€ EUR) ?
A: All prices quoted are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). A quote in Euro's available is available on resquest

Q: On which days do bookings usually commence ?
A: We have a flexible changeover day, only being subject to availability.

Q: What is the required length of stay ?
A: A minimum 7-night stay is required or 14 nights during the months of January, February & August

Q: What is your deposit and cancellation policy ?
A: The following standard practices apply: A 20% deposit is required to hold a reservation. Reservations are not considered firm until the deposit, in cleared funds is received and our Booking Confirmation has been issued. The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. In the event of you cancelling the booking more than eight weeks before the commencement of the hire will entail the loss of the 20% deposit. Cancellation less than 8 weeks before the commencement of the hire gives rise to the loss of the deposit and you incurring the cancellation charges set out below: -

Eight to six weeks before departure 20%
Six to four weeks before departure 50%
Four to two weeks before departure 75%
Two to zero weeks before departure 100% (i.e. full hire fee payable)

It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out Travel Insurance.

Q: Is Travel Insurance Required ?
A: Yes, it is strongly recommended that you arrange comprehensive travel insurance to include accommodation cancellation. If you require travel insurance, please refer to our Useful Links page.

Q: Where can I find other websites for booking flights car hire etc. ?
A: Over the last few years Aphrodite Hills 4 Rentals have spent many hours finding good websites for booking those other travel essentials when visiting Cyprus. On our Useful Links page we have external website links for Flights, Car Hire, Airport Parking, Cyprus Guides etc. This website also provides detailed and up to date information of location, directions, things to do etc.

In The Resort

Q: What are the check in and check out times ?
A: Access to the apartment is after 2pm (to allow for cleaning) and you have to vacate by 11am on day of departure, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.

Q: What happens to my accommodation if my flight is delayed ?
A: No problems, the resort security are on duty 24 hrs a day. The apartment will always be accessable to you.

Q: How do we get from the Airport ?
A: We strongly recommend that guests reserve a hire car, to be picked up from the airport. Taxi's are available 24hrs at the airport departures & should cost approx. €35 to Aphrodite Hills.

Q: Is a car required ?
A: We strongly recommend that guests reserve a car as public transport is limited in Cyprus, also there is so much to see in and around Paphos. Full car hire details can be found on our Useful Links at Car Hire.

Q: Does the apartment have satellite TV, with English channels ?
A: The apartment has Sky satellite TV (non subscription channels), the number of TV & radio channels received is ver very limited to only a few & can't be guaranteed. The aparment does receive Cypriot TV channels which many are in English.

Q: Does the apartment have Air conditioning in all rooms ?
A: The apartment has air conditioning in all rooms except kitchen & bathrooms.

Q: How far is the apartment from the nearest swimming pool ?
A: The apartment is 50 meters from the Orpheus Village heated communal pool, this is free to use for AH4R's guest. Guests are not permitted to use any other swimming pools in the resort, except if you have paid for entrance to the Spa

Q: Can we use the resorts facilities & how much do they cost ?
A: All guests are entitled to use most of the facilities @ AH's. Discounts are available for AH4R's guests on many of the facilities i.e. Spa, Tennis & Golf. Contact Us for further details & prices.

Q: When is the Kids club open & how much does it cost ?
A: The kids club is open all year, further details can be found in our Kids Club section.

Q: How far is the apartment from the Village Square ?
A: The apartment is 0.9 miles via footpath from the village square.

Q: How will I know how to operate various appliances ?
A: The apartment has an instruction manual with user guides for all appliances in the apartment.

Q: Does the apartment have a hairdryer available ?
A: There are 2 hairdryers available in the apartment.

Q: Are towels and linen provided ?
A: Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided & usually changed once a week. We advise that you bring your own towels for pool/beach use as these are not provided. The towels provided are only for use inside the property and are not to be used outdoors, on the sun beds, or at the beach.

Q: How often is the apartment cleaned ?
A: Unless otherwise stated, the apartment is cleaned prior to arrival and then on departure, linnen & towels changed every 7 days.

Q: Does the apartment have a telephone or internet access ?
A: No we don't currently have a telephone in the apartment, although this is something I'm currently investigating. We have a 4 Mbs WIFI/LAN connection, this will be available free for AH4Rs guests.
The Aphrodite Hills village square also has free WIFI hotspot & this is also extended to some of the restaraunts & village pub.

To make telephone calls you can either use local phone boxes, use your own mobile phone (see above) or purchase a pay as-you-go, So Easycard from AH mini market, most kiosks or local Cytanet Office (Price €25,63 (including €5,13 call credit) - Calls are then approx. €0.10 a minute back to the UK & SMS texts €0.02).

Q: Is there someone I can contact if I have a problem when I am in resort ?
A: Yes. The Welcome Book in the apartment shows the contact telephone number for our local representative.

Q: Do mobile phones work in Cyprus ?
A: Generally most GSM/3G network mobile phones work in Cyprus although at times reception can be erratic and some locations are unsuitable for mobile telephones (mountains), so we advise that you check with your airtime provider.

Q: Are the Safety Standards and Regulations the same as in the UK ?
A: The safety standards and regulations in operation in Cyprus may not reach the same level as those we enjoy in the U.K. The monitoring, enforcement and compliance with these local regulations is a matter for the authorities of that country and the foreign supplier of the services concerned. The general standards of safety and hygiene, fire precautions etc, will generally be lower than in the U.K. Liability insurance requirements vary considerably from country to country, as does the responsibility placed on an organisation by local law. Please therefore take all precautions to protect yourself and your family whilst on holiday.

Q: What about insects and pests ?
A: Common to Cyprus are Ants, lizards, wasps, spiders, field mice, snakes, field rats etc. Although no more numerous than anywhere else in the Mediterranean. Mosquitoes & Sand Flies can be an annoyance and so we recommend that you take a suitable lotion and/or plug-in repellent.

Q: What is the electricity voltage ?
A:The voltage is the same as in the UK - 240 volts, with 3-pin plug sockets.

On Return

Q: What can I do if I leave personal belongings in resort ?
A: Please bear in mind it is your responsibility to ensure that all your belongings are removed from the apartment at the end of your holiday. Before departing from your accommodation please ensure you check the apartment thoroughly for your personal belongings i.e. wardrobes, drawers, under beds, bathroom cabinets, clothes line etc. Regrettably we are unable to return to you items discovered after your departure, however if the you are able to notify us quickly enough, we will do our best top contact the House keeper and arrange for non- perishable items to be stored from where you can arrange collection by courier.
